High Quality Learning Experience At The Idla Office

Teachers, We hope you are enjoying the fall! It’s been a busy first week of the session here at the IDLA Office. As we have worked with you through fall courses, we have identified some pinch points that are currently creating issues for some of our students. Many of these can be mitigated by teacher intervention. The purpose of this email is to inform you of changes that are always within your purview as an IDLA Teacher. Our hope is that you will move forward and respond to student, parent, and Site Coordinator feedback accordingly to ensure that students are being provided with a quality online learning experience. The following questions and answers should provide some guidance on appropriate accommodations that any IDLA Teacher can and should make for their students as their course progresses†¦ Can I modify my curriculum? I thought I had to teach the class as is. Our Content Team works to build curriculum that will help to provide a high quality learning experience for each student. We will never be able to build a curriculum that is appropriate for each student and meets the individual needs of every student in a course. Teachers teach students and meet their individual needs using the content that is provided. If that content needs to be adjusted in order to meet those individual student needs, then the teacher should make the adjustments that will help the student best meet the standards and objectives covered in the course.
